Chicago is facing a stretch of dry, milder weather into midweek before another storm could hit the region.
Temperatures will trend close to the seasonable average for the metro area, AccuWeather.com Meteorologist Krissy Pydynowski said.
Daytime highs will hover near the 35 F mark into midweek. Normal highs for this time of year are close to the freezing mark.
Skies should remain mostly sunny with some intermittent clouds.
Overnight temperatures will follow a similar trend, resting in the mid-20s. However, Wednesday night could bring some warmer conditions as the night low is expected to hit near 30 F.

"The next storm could hit late in the week," Pydynowski said.
After the brief reprise from wintry conditions, another storm is set to bring snow showers to the region on Thursday. Cloudy and breezy conditions could enhance the storm's impact to any roadway or air travel.
