Following the recent stretch of dry and pleasant conditions across the Dallas area, cooler weather and rain showers will return to the area for the weekend.
Temperatures will slide back into middle 50s, and 40s by the start of the new week.
"Clouds will begin build Friday night, and a couple of showers could work their way into the area," AccuWeather.com Meteorologist Danielle Knittle said.
The average high across Dallas is around 53 F this time of year.
Those with outdoor plans can expect to see steady rain continue throughout the day Saturday and Saturday night, she added.
"It's not the best way to start the weekend," she said.
However, Sunday should offer drier weather for those with outdoor plans as the showers depart the area.
