While snow will wind down by Tuesday, cold air will hang on through midweek before the return of snow comes on Thursday.
Snow from Monday will gradually taper to a few flurries by Tuesday morning, causing roads to stay slick in the meantime.
The cold, however, will last much longer. Temperatures both Tuesday and Wednesday will be held to the mid-20s when highs in the mid-30s and lows in the lower 20s are more common.
A bit of a breeze will also blow on Tuesday, holding AccuWeather.com RealFeel® temperatures to the teens. Less wind will allow RealFeels to rebound closer to actual temperatures on Wednesday.
Actual temperatures will then rebound on Thursday ahead of the next system to track from the Midwest to the Northeast. While a substantial amount of snow is not expected, travelers could face disruptions if the snow arrives prior to temperatures climbing to or above freezing.
