Most of Germany will have a pleasant start to the week, before heavy thunderstorms move into the southern half of the country on Thursday.
High pressure settling over the North Sea and northwestern Germany will provide dry weather for much of Germany into the middle of the week.
"This will be a nice break in the showery weather for those in northern Germany," AccuWeather Meteorologist Tyler Roys said.
Areas from Kiel and Hamburg to Nuremberg and Stuttgart will dodge the wet weather into Wednesday. Each day will remain comfortable, with temperatures in the lower 20s C (lower 70s F).

Meanwhile, daily showers and thunderstorms will dampen far-southern Germany, including the city of Munich.
Thunderstorms will be the most prevalent in the afternoon and evening hours and could contain dangerous lightning across southern parts of Baden-Wurttemberg and southern Bavaria.
A storm system developing in France on Thursday will bring a larger wave of showers and thunderstorms into southern Germany.
"On Thursday, heavy thunderstorms will expand as far northward as North Rhine-Westphalia and northern Bavaria," Roys said.
At times rainfall with these thunderstorms could be heavy enough to bring 6 to 12 mm (0.25-0.75 of an inch) per hour.
"By the time these storms end in the overnight hours, some places may have received as much as 50 mm (2 inches) of rain," Roys said.

Detailed forecast for Munich

Those with outdoor plans in cities such as Cologne, Stuttgart and Frankfurt will need to keep a close eye on the weather on Thursday.
This includes visitors to the annual wine festival, Weindorf, in Rothenburg, which begins on Wednesday. Spectators may want to bring along rain gear to use as they duck in and out of booths and shops in the city.
Generally drier conditions will return for Friday, ahead of some more widespread stormy weather anticipated for the weekend.
