Incredibly Close Call with Tornado Caught on Camera

The recent outbreak of destructive tornadoes in the Midwest caused a lot of damage to towns in Illinois, and footage like the video above show why.
While it's never recommended that storm chasers get this close to an intense storm, the man filming this video didn't seem phased by the oncoming tornado.
As the video begins, the man admits that he isn't sure where the tornado is going, but even as it gets closer he barely reacts.
"Oh my gosh," said Sam Smith. "Holy smokes. Yeah, that is completely crazy."
"The truck feels like it is about to lift off the ground," said Smith, as the tornado passed right by the vehicle, shaking it back and forth.
The video was filmed near Rochelle, Illinois after Smith pulled over on a highway. While Smith was able to get some amazing footage, the safest response would have been to turn around and drive in the opposite direction of the tornado.
