Residents of Boston will not have to worry about finding ways to stay cool this week.
The weather pattern across the United States this week will work to suppress heat and humidity south of Boston.
Temperatures will instead rise to within a degree or two of the normal high of 67 F through midweek.
Each day will start in the lower 50s in the city and 40s in the suburbs.
While some people may grab a spring jacket before heading outdoors, it will also be good to keep an umbrella handy. Showers will cross the area through Tuesday.
Any shower will be light and spotty and pose only minor disruptions to outdoor activities.

The showers should be diminishing when the Red Sox return to Fenway Park Tuesday evening to host the Toronto Blue Jays.
Temperatures are expected to climb to near 70 F on Wednesday before a storm system leads to clouds, some rain and a reduction in temperatures later in the week.
Looking ahead, the Memorial Day holiday weekend will not be hot and humid for the unofficial start to summer.
