Temperatures will rise and usher in strong storms in Minneapolis this week.
Temperatures remain in the 60s throughout the middle of the week but by Thursday, a significant warmup could occur.
"A strengthening storm will track northeastward toward Minnesota through Thursday," said AccuWeather.com Meteorologist Andy Mussoline.
Wet weather will move into the area on Wednesday with a chance of showers and thunderstorms during the day and occasional rain and drizzle in the evening.
"The warmer air will team up with a developing storm over the central Plains to bring some showers and thunderstorms on Wednesday and Thursday," Mussoline said.
The storm will bring a primary threat of damaging winds and large hail.

By Thursday, temperatures will approach the 70s, but strong storms with the potential for damaging winds and hail are forecast for the area. The threat of severe storms will extend north of the city and the possibility of an isolated tornado can't be ruled out.
The weather on Friday won't be as severe, but it it will be mostly cloudy and cooler throughout the day.
"As the storm moves away Friday, cooler and less humid air will settle into the area as sunshine mixes with clouds," Mussoline said.
Saturday will be mostly cloudy with a shower possible.
