New Cold Blast to Arrive This Weekend in Boston

While temperatures will moderate through Friday and a big rain event is called off for Saturday, much colder air will sweep later in the weekend on gusty winds around Boston.
Only spotty showers or a touch of rain is in the offing for Saturday as the first of two pushes of cold air arrive.
After high temperatures near 50 degrees Thursday, Friday and Saturday, temperatures will be no higher than the 30s Sunday and Monday. RealFeel® temperatures will be in the teens and 20s at times factoring in wind and other conditions.

Speaking of wind, gusts of 40 to 50 mph are possible on Sunday as the second push of cold air roars in.
Just as that second push arrives, a few flurries or perhaps a brief period of snow will be possible Sunday.
Looking ahead, AccuWeather.com meteorologists continue to track a storm that will affect part of the West into the weekend. During next week, that storm may try to take a northward turn after affecting the South with rain. Travel disruptions are possible depending on the track of that storm, which may not be just rain everywhere in the East.
