There will be a weak to moderate Santa Ana event into Wednesday through the mountains, passes and canyons. Most gusts will average around 30 mph, but there may be a few gusts up to 50 mph in the canyons that stretch southwest to northeast.
Although this will not be a particularly strong event, because of the dryness across the area it will still present an increased risk for wildfires.
Each day this week should see sunny skies and dry conditions. Overnight lows will be in the middle 50s, raising just a few degrees to the upper 50s Wednesday night.
While dry weather will continue through late this week and into the weekend, temperatures will fall back to the low 70s for the start of the weekend.
