Daytime temperatures will top out 10 to 15 degrees above normal in the lead-up to a strong cold front that will sweep through the Hoosier State on Thursday.
As of Sunday, average temperature for the month in Indianapolis was more than 11 degrees above normal.
Following Monday's clouds and also some rain in the south, skies Tuesday will brighten somewhat, allowing the temperature in Indianapolis to bounce back to 50 degrees. The normal high for the date is 38 degrees.
After warming further on Wednesday, Indiana will have in increase in clouds as the cold front nears.
Rain, even with a few thunderstorms in the south, will break out late in the day, only to get swept away on Thursday as cold winds blow in from the west. The last of the rain may turn to flurries before clouds break.
