A sizzling heat wave will build across the United Kingdom early next week, as temperatures climb as high as 32 degrees Celsius in parts of southern England.
Heat building over Spain late this week will be pulled northward across the whole of the United Kingdom beginning this weekend. Paired with largely dry weather, temperatures will rise to near to slightly above normal.
Monday will bring the first day the heat wave, however, as high pressure builds to the east of England and funnels warmer air from Spain and France northward.

High temperatures will reach 20-23 C (68-73 F) across Northern Ireland and Scotland while temperatures average 22-26 C (72-79 F) throughout England and Wales.
Temperatures during this heat wave are expected to be similar to those that occurred during the middle of July.
The highest temperatures are again expected in southern England with highs approaching 32 C (90 F) on Tuesday, the hottest day of the event.
While the heat will hold on through Wednesday, an approaching storm system will bring cloud and some rainfall which will keep temperatures a few degrees lower.
Some of the rainfall could be heavy, resulting in flash flooding.
Cooler air will follow this storm system, knocking temperatures back closer to normal for the second half of the week.
