Poughkeepsie park Friday, according to city officials.

"An
isolated thunderstorm moved through northern Poughkeepsie around 4:00
p.m., causing lightning and heavy rainfall," said weather.com
meteorologist Jonathan Belles. "These storms are occurring ahead of a
cold front that is draped from northern New York to central Texas and is
forecast to bring more rain to the Northeast this weekend."
