Tropical Depression Three-E Has Formed in the Eastern Pacific

Tropical Depression Three-E has formed off the western coast of Mexico and is expected to move west-northwestward over the next several days.
This system is expected to strengthen as it tracks to the west-northwest and is no threat to land at this time.
Here's the latest from the National Hurricane Center:
  • Tropical Depression Three-E has formed about 975 miles from Manzanillo, Mexico, moving W at 12 mph.
  • The depression is forecast to strengthen into Tropical Storm Blas by Sunday, and is forecast to be a hurricane by Monday.
  • Winds are currently 35 mph and pressure is 1007 mb.
  • This new system is currently no threat to land.
