Rain and thunderstorms will track across the United Kingdom on Wednesday and Thursday, threatening to dampen and even cancel much-anticipated golf rounds and horse races.
The first of these storm systems, arriving on Wednesday, will cause scattered showers and thunderstorms in Wales, the Midlands and southern England.
The greatest threat for thunderstorms will be during the afternoon hours but could stretch into the evening commute, resulting in slow travel.
A second low pressure system will produce a soaking rain across Northern Ireland and northern England on Thursday, while another round of showers and thunderstorms rumbles across Wales, the Midlands and southern England.
A few of the storms could produce flash flooding across southern England, including Greater London.
The rain could impact the opening round of the Northern Ireland Open, taking place in Ballymena on Thursday.
While the weather on Thursday poses the biggest threat to play, additional showers are possible Friday through Sunday.

The threat for showers will continue from Friday through Sunday with the greatest threat during the afternoon each day.
The Qatar Goodwood Festival, running from Tuesday through Saturday, is also at risk.
Showers and thunderstorms are forecast to dampen the day on Wednesday for the Qatar Sussex Stakes and again on Thursday for Ladies' Day.
While a shower or two can not be ruled out on Friday and Saturday, the majority of both days will be rain-free.
