Georgette Becomes July's Fourth East Pacific Hurricane

Hurricane Georgette continues to move into the open east Pacific waters. Some strengthening is forecast the next few days.
Georgette is the fourth east Pacific Hurricane this year in the month of July, tying a record for most hurricanes in July.
Here's the latest from the National Hurricane Center:
  • Hurricane Georgette was located over 1050 miles west-southwest of the southern tip of Baja California, as of Saturday evening.
  • Georgette should continue to strengthen over the next day or so.
  • This system is no threat to the U.S. mainland or Mexico.
