BREAKING: Magnitude-4.4 Earthquake Rattles Southern California

A magnitude-4.4 earthquake struck 2 miles south-southwest of Devore, California, and 48 miles east of Los Angeles on Tuesday night, the U.S. Geological Survey said.
The quake was initially recorded as a 4.3.

There have been no reports of damage so far, but the Los Angeles Fire Department said it was in "earthquake mode."
The quake occurred shortly before 6 p.m. PST and at least 21 aftershocks have been reported. The region of the earthquake has had nine earthquakes with a magnitude of 4 or greater since 2005 - a pretty active part of Southern California, said USGS seismologist Dr. Lucy Jones.
The National Tsunami Warning Center said there was no tsunami threat.
