Warmth will be erased as wetter and cooler weather arrives in Minneapolis by the end of the week.
Record-challenging warmth, with temperatures more typical of the middle of September, surged across the region early this week.
However, a storm system will usher in temperatures more seasonable for the month of November by Thursday and Friday.

Showers, with intermittent periods of heavier rain, will accompany the temperature drop on Thursday.
The wet weather won't stick around for long though, as drier conditions will begin to build back in Thursday night into the day on Friday.
Afternoon highs will be in the upper 60s on Thursday, but highs will take a nosedive into the lower 50s by Friday. Temperatures will continue to plummet into the upper 40s by Saturday.
