Another round of severe weather will roll across parts of the Plains into Friday night.
A low pressure system emerging from the Rockies will bring strong thunderstorms east of Denver, which will progress eastward across Nebraska, southern South Dakota and northern Kansas.
According to AccuWeather Meteorologist Edward Vallee, "A strong disturbance will eject into the Plains of Colorado and Nebraska."

"This will spark strong to severe thunderstorms across the Plains of Colorado into the evening hours," Vallee said.
Thunderstorms will blossom along a cold front that will slide southward.
The strongest storms will bring the threat of large hail, damaging wind gusts and even isolated tornadoes. Where the storms repeat, there can be flash flooding.

Although severe weather usually diminishes as the sun sets, this system will persist farther to the east into the nighttime hours.
Storms are likely to remain strong, but the threat for tornadoes will diminish during the overnight hours as they move into the central parts of South Dakota, Nebraska and Kansas.
The storms will not diminish in intensity until before dawn as they approach Omaha, Nebraska. By then, the area will be a swath of drenching rain and thunder.
According to AccuWeather Meteorologist Alyson Hoegg, "Another complex of severe thunderstorms is likely to fire up farther to the east, centered on Iowa, during Saturday afternoon."
These new storms could reach northern Illinois late in the day and during Saturday evening.
Additional rounds of showers and thunderstorms will focus on the central and northern Plains through the weekend.
