he dry spell should continue throughout the greater Seattle region during the late part of the week.
Not much relief is in sight for areas struggling with water deficiency problems throughout the Pacific Northwest. A weak storm system is expected to move through Saturday afternoon and evening, bringing a few showers to places while the remaining area stays dry.It has been an unusually dry summer for the Seattle area with the city only receiving about 14 percent of its normal rainfall since June 1. The dryness coupled with the heat has been a crop grower's nightmare. Luckily, the heat does not look to be building back into the region anytime soon.
