Minneapolis: Cool, Dry Air Moves in for New Week

By Brian Lada, Meteorologist

A stretch of dry weather is on tap for the Minneapolis area and will be accompanied by seasonably cool conditions.
Sunday will be the first day of the dry and cool weather pattern with highs struggling to climb out of the 60s. Gusty winds may make it feel a bit cooler, occasionally gusting past 20 mph.
Temperatures are forecast to run below normal through Wednesday with highs topping out in the lower 70s each afternoon.
This is about 10 degrees lower than the average high of 80 F.

In addition to the lower temperatures, humidity levels should remain low, helping it feel comfortable outside during the sunny afternoons.

Temperatures and humidity will slowly climb during the second half of the week, reaching toward the 80-degree mark by Friday.
People may also need to dust off their umbrellas late in the week as the warmer weather ushers showers and thunderstorms back into the region.
