The weekend will end on a dry note around Philadelphia before showers once again return on Monday.
The dry weather will come after Philadelphia narrowly escapes being grazed by the storm system spreading rain from the lower Midwest states to the southern mid-Atlantic into Sunday morning.
Clouds will give way to some sunshine in southeastern Pennsylvania on Sunday. Despite the sun, temperatures will remain on the cool side for late April with a high near 65 F expected.
Residents and visitors will want to pull the umbrella out of the closet on Monday as a couple of showers will return in the afternoon.

Monday afternoon will not be a washout, but those with outdoor plans should prepare for some interruptions or have other rain gear handy. The heaviest showers can even produce small hail.
The departure of the showers will give way to a comfortable and dry Tuesday with seasonable temperatures and a mostly sunny sky.
