The weekend will end on a dry note around Washington, D.C., and Baltimore before showers once again return on Monday.
The dry weather will come after a storm system spreads rain from the lower Midwest states to the southern mid-Atlantic into Sunday morning. The rain will depart Washington, D.C., and Baltimore by dawn Sunday.
Clouds will otherwise break for some sunshine on Sunday around the nation's capital and Maryland. Despite the sun, temperatures will remain on the cool side for late April with a high in the lower to middle 60s expected.
Residents and visitors will want to pull the umbrella out of the closet on Monday as a couple of showers will return in the afternoon.
