Sunshine and warm weather can be expected across the Los Angeles area through the weekend following a few low clouds in the early morning hours.
"High pressure will remain in firm control of the weather with partly sunny skies and very warm temperatures," AccuWeather.com Meteorologist Carl Erickson said.
Most of the Los Angeles Basin will see highs in the 80s through the end of the week.
"Clouds should quickly give way to sunny skies Friday with highs in the lower 80s, still nearly 10 degrees above the average for the first day of May," Erickson said.

While low clouds can be expected through the entire weekend in the morning hours, sunshine will return during the day.
A gradual cooling trend will also take place over the weekend following the past few days of warmth.
"Late night and early morning low clouds will be around Saturday and Sunday with temperatures returning to more seasonable levels," he said.
Highs for the weekend will dip back to the 70s, bringing more seasonable weather for those with outdoor plans.
