Unfathomable tragedy struck Nepal on Saturday when a 7.8-magnitude earthquake rocked the country, killing over 5,000 people and leaving countless injured in its wake.
One 4-month-old, however, beat the odds to make an incredible recovery. Kathmandu Today reports that Nepalese soldiers saved a baby boy buried under rubble for 22 hours after the earthquake.

baby was feared dead after an initial sweep by the military, but search
teams returned to the collapsed building in Bhaktapur when a witness
heard crying from the ruins.(Kathmandu Today)

CNN reports that the baby, named Sonit Awal, is in stable condition and has no injuries.
As heart-wrenching images flooding out of Nepal have made clear, not everyone has been so lucky.
The earthquake affected an estimated 8.1 million Nepalese, and over a million of the affected need help finding food to survive.
Foreign aid is pouring into Nepal, but with thousands killed and even more injured, the country is in disarray and needs your help.
