Milder air to sweep across Germany this weekend

The recent chill felt across Germany will continue the next few days before milder air arrives this weekend.
Temperatures more typical of late October have been recorded across Germany so far this month with many areas running several degrees below normal.
This cool air will finally be erased as milder air from the southwest arrives by the weekend.

A warm front will cross Germany from southwest to northeast beginning on Friday, allowing temperatures to rise back to normal across the south and west.
This front will slowly move northeast through the weekend causing temperatures to rise slowly each day.
The front will bring not only warmer weather, but also the chance for a few showers.
Showers will be scattered throughout Germany on Saturday before being limited to the northeast on Sunday.
Despite the threat of showers, much of the weekend will be dry in any given location with rainfall lasting generally 30 minutes or less.
Otherwise, there will be a mixture of clouds and sunshine with light winds.

The change to drier and milder weather will be an improvement for Bundesliga matches following two cool and damp weekends.
The opening days of Bremen Freimarkt will also benefit from largely dry and milder weather. While there can be a brief shower or two on Saturday, Friday and Sunday will both be dry. Temperatures will climb from 12 C (53 F) on Friday to 14-15 (57-59 F) on Sunday.
The mild weather moving in over the weekend will continue into next week before a storm brings rain and cooler air by the middle of the week.
This shot of cooler air is expected to be brief, and temperatures will be closer to normal during late October.
