As July transitions to August, near-normal temperatures will linger through the weekend before cooler conditions arrive on Monday.
Daytime highs will hover in the mid-80s over the weekend. A high temperature near 83 F is common for this time of year in the city.

Showers and thunderstorms to begin the weekend will move out and lead to a dry forecast Sunday. "The good news is that dry weather will quickly return on Sunday, bringing a nice end to the weekend with pleasant humidity levels," AccuWeather.com Meteorologist Jordan Root said.
Expect breezy conditions in the afternoon and partly sunny skies for any outdoor plans such as going to the Minnesota Twins game.
