While the Men's World Cup in Brazil was plagued by heat and flooding rain last year, the Women's World Cup being hosted in Canada has been largely unaffected by adverse weather thus far.
This trend will continue for Friday's Quarterfinal matches as the United States takes on China and Germany battles France.
The first match of the day featuring France and Germany will take place in Montreal. Dry weather will prevail with plenty of sunshine.
Temperatures will be seasonable with a high of 23 C (74 F), making for a comfortable afternoon for both players and fans.
The second match of the day will take place less than 200 km (125 miles) to the west in Ottawa as the United States faces off with China.
The match will also feature dry weather with sunshine and comfortable temperatures. The temperatures will be near 21 C (70 F) at the start of the match but will fall to around 17 C (63 F) by the end of the match.
While beautiful weather is expected for Friday's matches, the warmest temperatures of the tournament thus far are on tap for Saturday's Quarterfinal matches taking place in Vancouver and Edmonton. While the heat will not be extreme, it will a noticeable change for players and fans.
