Strong thunderstorms are impacting a large portion of the Northeast, including the I-95 corridor, Tuesday evening.
"Severe storms will stretch from West Virginia and Virginia to northern New England through the evening," AccuWeather Meteorologist Jordan Root said. "A cold front will intersect warm and humid air, setting off dangerous storms across this region. Flash flooding and damaging winds in excess of 60 mph are possible as well as large hail," he said.
A couple tornadoes cannot be ruled out heading through the evening, he added.
