As summer ramps up to its peak, Dallas will be feeling the heat as temperatures climb near the 100 F mark.
Skies will be sunny for the next several days. The next chance of storms is midweek as thunderstorms could pop up, slightly lowering temperatures.

While the sun continues to shine over the weekend, temperatures will be consistently near 100 F, on par with typical averages for the Dallas area at this point of the summer.
Overnight temperatures should remain in the upper 70s, at times hitting 80 F.
Those planning on spending extended amounts of time in the sun over the weekend should take proper precautions by applying sunscreen regularly throughout the day.

In addition, with high heat, it is important to stay hydrated and drink an adequate amount of water throughout the day.
As parts of Dallas remain in a severe drought area according to the U.S. Drought Monitor, the next chance of relief is the possible storms projected for next week.
