More thunderstorms are in order for the Atlanta area as temperatures remain in the upper 80s.
The wave of storms will continue through the week. Saturday may see a break, though only briefly as storms could pick up again Sunday.
The afternoon thunderstorms will continue to pop up interrupting otherwise partly sunny skies.
Temperatures will continue to stay in the upper 80s, on par with typical averages for this time of year. Overnight lows will range near the low 70s.
Some nights will be humid before overnight storms develop. Otherwise, skies should be mostly clear.

Those planning to spend any time outdoors should take proper precautions once storms move into the area and seek indoor shelter as soon as thunder and lightning are present.
