Another Polar Plunge Follows Snow in Chicago

Snow starting the weekend in Chicago will be followed another polar plunge of arctic air.
The snow that moved through around midday Saturday produced a general 1 to 3 inches.
Another round of snow will follow Saturday night, leaving a fresh coating to an inch and creating more slick travel.
Some sunshine will return on Sunday in the wake of the snow. However, a noticeable rise in temperatures will not.

Temperatures will instead struggle to reach the 20-degree mark on Sunday before plummeting below zero at night. Despite abundant sunshine on Monday, highs in the single digits are expected.
Howling winds will not usher in the fresh frigid air, but a slight breeze will be enough to drop AccuWeather.com RealFeel® temperatures under 10 below zero F for the Monday morning commute.

Such cold will put those who fail to properly bundle up at risk of enduring frostbite or hypothermia.
