Another Polar Plunge Follows Snow in Detroit

Snow coating Detroit this weekend will be followed another polar plunge of arctic air.
Two rounds of snow through the remainder of this weekend will leave a fresh coating to an inch or two. The first round will move through Saturday evening with a second to follow on Sunday, mainly during the first part of the day.
Amounts will be closer to the coating north of Detroit, while places toward the Ohio border have the greatest opportunity of measuring 3-inch totals.
While a significant snowstorm will not unfold, the snow this weekend will still be enough to cause slick travel on area roads and interstates.

Dry weather will return on Monday, but a noticeable rise in temperatures will not.

Temperatures will instead fail to reach the 20-degree mark on Monday before plummeting to near zero at night. Despite more sunshine than clouds on Tuesday, highs in the teens are expected.
