Estelle is spinning westward well away from land in the eastern Pacific Ocean. The system is forecast to become a hurricane, but is no threat to land.
Here's the latest from the National Hurricane Center:
- Estelle was located more than 600 miles southwest of the southern tip of Baja California, as of Tuesday morning.
- It is still expected to gain enough steam to become a hurricane on Tuesday, although briefly.
- Estelle poses no threat to any land areas for at least the next five days, if ever.
