Another round of sweltering heat will spread across much of Germany this week as warmth over Spain pulls northeastward.
The heat will peak in the west on Wednesday before settling over eastern parts of the country on Thursday and Friday.
High temperatures near or above 32 C (90 F) are expected from Düsseldorf southward through Cologne, Frankfurt and Stuttgart on Wednesday.

The combination of high temperatures, high humidity and plenty of sunshine will create dangerous conditions for outdoor activities during the afternoon.
"Limit outdoor activities during the hottest time of the day and make sure to drink plenty of water," AccuWeather Meteorologist Tyler Roys said.
High temperatures will only climb to near 27 C (80 F) in Leipzig, Berlin and Dresden each of the next several days.

This brief round of heat will be eliminated from west to east on Thursday and Friday as thunderstorms cross the country.
These storms will create locally heavy rainfall with the threat for flash flooding.
"The strongest storms will be capable of producing damaging winds and hail," Roys said. "The greatest threat for flooding appears to be across Baden-Wurttemberg and Bavaria."
Some rainfall may linger into Saturday across eastern and southern Germany before drier weather returns on Sunday.
