Weather to cooperate for firefighters battling the Cold Springs Fire in Colorado during the balance of this week.
The Cold Springs Fire began near Nederland, Colorado, on Saturday after a campfire was improperly extinguished, according to the Boulder Office of Emergency Management. The fire has since grown to over 500 acres, aided by strong, shifting winds.
Nederland lies about 15 miles west of Boulder, Colorado.

Thousands of people have been evacuated and several homes have been burned since the fire began, according to CBS Denver.
Residents of the Saint Anton Highlands and Falls Pointe are able to return to their homes on Wednesday.
The fire is 25 percent contained as of Tuesday evening, the Boulder Office of Emergency Management said.
While there is no guarantee of rain, the blustery conditions that caused the fire to grow have diminished. Winds will remain light for the balance of the week.
