Weather Underground Forecast for Tuesday,May 3,2016

A cold front will make its way over the East Coast on Tuesday, while a Pacific system shifts across the Northwest.

A low pressure system will drift northeastward over the northern Mid-Atlantic and New England. Moderate rain is expected to develop from the northern Mid-Atlantic region to southern New England. A cold frontal boundary associated with this system will stretch southwestward. This frontal system will generate showers and thunderstorms across the Deep South, the Southeast and the southern Mid-Atlantic.

Meanwhile, another area of low pressure will push south southeastward over the upper Mississippi Valley and the Great Lakes. Rain and thunderstorms will develop along and ahead of this system from eastern Minnesota to central Illinois. Most of the Plains will stay clear of wet weather, with the exception to isolated showers and thunderstorms across the lower Intermountain West and the southern high Plains.

Out west, a cold front will swing across the Pacific Northwest. This frontal boundary will initiate light to moderate rain and stray thunderstorms from northern California to western Washington. High pressure will dry conditions out across the Southwest on Tuesday.
