Summerlike warmth will prevail as Baden-Wuerttemberg, Bavaria, Hesse, North Rhine-Westphalia, Rhineland-Palatinate, Saarland and some parts of Sachsen and Thuringia celebrate Corpus Christi (Fronleichnam).
The festivities, which include many parades and processionals, may see adverse weather as showers and thunderstorms develop across Germany.

The Muelheimer Gottestracht will feature a fleet of ships of various sizes traveling from Mulheim to Cologne on the Rhine River. The event starts in the morning and lasts into the afternoon. While there may be a shower at any time during the day, the greatest threat for thunderstorms will be during the afternoon hours.
Towns in the Black Forest and Swabian Alb regions often celebrate the holiday with massive floral carpets, including some that measure almost 1,000 meters in length, according to the Stuttgart Citizen.

Showers are expected to be isolated in the morning before becoming more widespread in the afternoon with the added risk of thunderstorms.
Temperatures will be above normal across all of Germany as warmer air arrives from the southwest. High temperatures will range from 20-23 C (68-74 F) with the highest temperatures expected in the south and east.

Anyone with plans across the remainder of the Germany will also have to contend with scattered showers and thunderstorms. The most widespread rainfall is expected during the afternoon. A gusty thunderstorm is possible in Potsdam and Berlin.
This warm and unsettled weather pattern will continue from Friday into the weekend as scattered showers and thunderstorms will develop across Germany each day.
