France: Flooding Threat Renewed in Southern France Tuesday

Following several days of dry weather, a storm system shifting from Spain into France on Tuesday will bring the threat for flooding to southern France.
Southern France will once again be at high risk for flooding, following several flooding events during the month of October.

This storm system has already brought flooding to parts of Portugal and Spain and a quick 25-50 mm (1-2 inches) of rain on Tuesday in southern France will continue that threat.
Locations such as Montpellier, Nimes, Valence, Lyon, Nice and Rodez are all at risk for flash flooding during the day on Tuesday.
The same storm system will spread lighter rainfall and showers over the rest of France; however, no flooding is expected outside of southern France.

A few brief showers will linger into Wednesday across northern and eastern France, so don't put your umbrella away just yet. Thankfully, no additional flooding is expected following Tuesday's heavy rainfall.
Dry weather will dominate the country on Thursday before a weak frontal boundary brings some additional rainfall to northern France, including Paris, on Thursday night and Friday.
