Atlanta: Showers to Linger Into Midweek

Unsettled weather will continue to dampen the Atlanta area through the middle of the week.
Each day through Wednesday will feature an abundance of clouds, the chance for rain and temperatures within a few degrees of 70 F.
Monday will be the wettest day of the week as a steady rain falls over Atlanta, potentially bringing over an inch of rain.
This heavy rain is likely to lead to travel delays on the roads and at the airports, as well as bringing the threat for localized flooding.

Monday's steady rain will depart the city by Tuesday, leaving behind just a few hit-or-miss showers.
These spotty showers will continue into Wednesday, but are not expected to bring nearly as much rain as what is seen on Monday.
Despite the threat for showers, a majority of Tuesday and Wednesday will be rain-free, only leading to only temporary disruptions in any outdoor activities.

Drier conditions are expected to move in late in the week, allowing those in Atlanta to put their raincoats and umbrellas away.
Not only will it turn drier for the end of the week, but also warmer with temperatures on Thursday and Friday reaching into the middle to upper 70s.
