Chicago: Dry Weather to Rule This Week

Umbrellas will gather dust in Chicago this week as the city experiences a stretch of dry weather.
Dry conditions can be expected through at least Friday as a large dome of high pressure slowly shifts over the region.
In addition to promoting dry weather, the area of high pressure will also bring low humidity levels and cloud-free skies most days this week.

High temperatures through Wednesday are forecast to reach the middle 70s, about 5 to 7 degrees below normal for late August.
Baseball fans headed out to watch the Chicago White Sox during one of their many home games this week shouldn't need a raincoat due to the dry weather with temperatures during the evening games falling into the 60s.

The second half of the week will bring a slight increase in temperatures with highs on Friday topping out near 80 F.
The warmer weather may also bring some clouds to the area, although high humidity should remain at bay.
