Philly: Train of Snowstorms to Stay North Through Monday

A series of storms with snow will track north of the Philadelphia area, before the tail end of the caboose storm attempts to bring a bit of snow on Monday evening.
The region will stay on the mild side of the storm track into Monday, while springlike air holds in the Southern states. Intermittent rain will affect the area from time to time, while heavy rain is unlikely.

As the last storm in the series moves off the Atlantic coast later Monday, enough of a dip in temperature can occur with lingering moisture to bring some freezing rain and snow late Monday into Monday night. Some roads and sidewalks in and around the city could become slippery.
People heading to the north from New York City to New York state and New England may encounter significant travel delays by Monday.

Temperatures will average close to normal for the middle part of the week, which represents highs in the low to middle 40s F.
Much colder weather is forecast to sweep in late in the week and last into next weekend as arctic air empties out of Canada. During the transition to colder weather, there may be a period of snow or flurries on Thursday.
