While the worst of a storm with blizzard conditions will stay northeast of New York City over the Valentine's weekend, dangerous cold will sweep into the area along with some snow and slippery travel.
New York Fashion Week runs through Feb. 19 in New York City. Organizers could not have picked a better time to display designers' fashions for the autumn and winter of 2015. Not only is some snow in the forecast but also the potential for the coldest conditions in years into next week.

This storm will strengthen significantly upon moving over the Atlantic Ocean and will pack bitterly cold air, increasing wind and a small accumulation of snow in the area from Saturday into Saturday night.
