Philly: Thursday Storms May Precede Big Cool Push

By , Expert Senior Meteorologist

After a system brings rain to part of the East Coast before midweek, a strong cool front will arrive on Thursday in Philadelphia with showers and the potential for strong thunderstorms.
Ahead of the front, temperatures will rebound into the 80s Wednesday into Thursday.
While it is too early to gauge the severity of the storms in the East, the Thursday rainfall will mark the approach of the coolest air since last spring in many locations.

Commuters and people with flights and outdoor plans will want to keep an eye on the progress of the storms, which are forecast to bring severe weather to the Midwest, prior to reaching the Interstate 95 corridor.
