After storms rumble through the area Tuesday afternoon and evening, the stormy conditions will subside for at least one day.
A break in the stormy weather will come on Wednesday, with time of clouds and sun and highs around 78 F. However, there is the chance for a late-night shower in spots.

Lingering thunderstorms could threaten midweek games at Wrigley Field, as the Cubs take on the San Francisco Giants in a three-game home series.
Another more widespread round of showers and storms, including the threat for some turning strong, will arrive Thursday into Friday. With repeated downpours and saturated soil, localized flash flooding is not out of the question.
