Minneapolis: Thunderstorm Threat Lingers Into Weekend

By Katy Galimberti, AccuWeather.com Staff Writer

Minneapolis could have days of thunderstorms, some with the potential to bring damaging winds, hail and torrential rain.
The area will be blanketed by humidity as well with temperatures hovering near the mid-80s.
Daytime storms will interrupt periods of sunshine and clouds. The chances for storms could persist into the evenings.

Those with any outside plans should be on alert for initial storm warnings. At the first sign of a storm, seek indoor shelter.
Those with plans to catch a Twins game at Target Field should be on the lookout for storms to cause delays in the home series against the Detroit Tigers, including a double-header on Sunday.
A stray thunderstorm may hit on Sunday as well; however, skies should be mostly sunny and temperatures will drop to the low 80s.
