5:55 p.m. EDT Saturday: Strong storm, with possible pea-sized hail and wind gusts, moving toward Springfield, Mass.
5:23 p.m. EDT Saturday: Police report trees down in Sidney and Vassalboro, Maine, northeast of Augusta.
5:18 p.m. EDT Saturday: Strong storm with gusty winds and heavy downpours headed toward Allentown, Pa.

1:10 p.m. EDT Saturday: Severe thunderstorm watch box has been issued from Cincinnati, Ohio, to Washington, D.C., and Baltimore, Md. This watch box is in effect through 9 p.m.
