Hot Weekend for London, Birmingham

Hot weather is expected across the U.K. this weekend. Although not extreme, higher-than-normal temperatures will linger through next week.
Temperatures are expected to reach the upper 80s in London on Saturday. The high is expected to be 87, making Saturday the warmest day in London since last August.

Birmingham, England's second most populous city, will heat up to 85 Saturday. This will be the warmest reading since August of 2011.
This is stretch of hot weather is not expected to hold a candle to the deadly heat of 2006. July of 2006 saw six 90-degree days in London. The highest of which was 96.

The average high in London in mid July is only in the lower 70s. Temperatures will be near to above 80 degrees through much of next week.
The warmest spots in interior England will come close to 90 degrees on Saturday. But, a weak weather disturbance will produce a few degrees of cooling on Sunday.
