Hot and Humid For MLB All-Star Game, Home Run Derby

The stars will be out in full force into early next week in the Big Apple as MLB All-Star Week takes center stage.
Baseball's best will converge on Citi Field in the New York City Borough of Queens to watch sluggers smash home runs Monday evening at 8 p.m. EDT in the Home Run Derby.
On Tuesday night, the best of the National League take on the best of the American League in the 84th Annual All-Star Game. Air time is also 8 p.m. EDT.
After a couple of cooler than average days across New York City, temperatures will be on the uptick into early next week as a large bubble of high pressure builds overtop the mid-Atlantic.
By Monday afternoon, residents and visitors to the Big Apple will be experiencing 90+ degree temperatures with very humid conditions.
AccuWeather.com RealFeel® temperatures Monday afternoon will approach 105 degrees across much of the Tri-State region.

By the time the Home Run Derby kicks off Monday evening, temperatures will have fallen to around 86 degrees but with the added humidity, it will still feel like it's in the lower 90s.
Heading into the day on Tuesday, the bubble of high pressure will hold strong with high temperatures Tuesday afternoon reaching the lower 90s once again.
Visitors heading to Citi Field for batting practice before the All-Star Game will need to stay hydrated and wear lightweight, light colored clothing as AccuWeather.com RealFeel® temperatures will once again approach 105 degrees.
By first pitch in the 84th All-Star Game Tuesday evening, the temperature will have fallen to around 86 degrees, but the humidity will remain high throughout the game.

The good news for visitors and ball players is that the threat of any rain Monday and Tuesday is very minimal. With the strong bubble of high pressure in place, any thunderstorms that try to pop up in the hot weather will more than likely be squashed.
