A storm developed in Texas Tuesday morning, and it will bring snow all the way into the Northeast by Wednesday.
The snow could be a very narrow band from Texas into southern New England. As warmer air rides over cold air at the surface, an icy zone will continue to the south of the snow.
Snow is currently spreading from northeastern Arkansas, southeastern Missouri into southern Illinois and western Kentucky. The freezing rain is accumulating on trees and power lines across northern Louisiana, southern Arkansas, northern Mississippi, and western portions of Tennessee and Kentucky.
