The taste of spring across the United Kingdom will peak on Monday before the threat for windstorms returns.
Temperatures will feel more like early April than the middle of February, and dramatically different than a week ago with warmer air pouring in from the southwest.
Highs of 10-12 degrees Celsius (50-54 degrees Fahrenheit) will be common throughout the U.K. after highs of 2-5 C (36-41 F) chilled the British Isles a week ago.
The warmth will not stop with the end of the weekend. While the mild air hangs on across the north, temperatures across England, away from the western coast, will rise on Monday to highs of 11-14 C (52-57 F).

In parts of South East England, London included, temperatures will flirt with 15 C (59 F).
Residents will not need to worry about wearing heavy jumpers to work or school. The day will be mostly cloudy but will still offer plenty of opportunities to enjoy outdoor activities or eat lunch outside across Wales and the south of England.

Showers will put a damper on the day in Northern Ireland, northern England and Scotland as a weak cold front pushes through. A moderate to fresh breeze could make holding onto brollies slightly challenging.
The warmth will persist into Tuesday, but attention will be turning toward the renewed threat of windstorms targeting the U.K.

A more potent front will sweep across the U.K. on Tuesday into Wednesday. While blustery showers will press down to Cardiff and London, the steadiest rainy spells and strong wind will target the north.
Wind gusts of 50-60 mph (80-96 km/h) threaten to whip Scotland. Scattered power cuts, tree damage and disruptions to rail and ferry service may result.
“Western Scotland will face the strongest wind gusts on late Tuesday afternoon and into Tuesday evening,” AccuWeather Meteorologist Tyler Roys said.

Yet another storm system is likely to follow on the heels of this front for Thursday into Friday, delivering another spell of rain and wind to the U.K.
Depending on the strength and track of the system, at least a part of the U.K. could face another disruptive and potentially damaging windstorm.
A shot of chilly air may also follow, erasing any signs of the current warm spell.
